TrafficViewer Pro *BETA*
Welcome to the TrafficViewer Pro Beta site. On this site we will release the latest and greatest versions before they reach the "official" release site. If you want to try out new features to see what is coming up or want to help us test new features/fixes before they are "live", then we encourage you to download the latest BETA version here. You can have both the regular release and a BETA release installed on your computer and they will not interfere with each other. The latest version of software will always be available on this site.

TrafficViewer Pro Current State
On January 27th, 2010 the first official (non-beta) release of TrafficViewer Pro was made. From now on the new official site and this site will both run. On the beta site here, which will be open to everybody, you will always find the latest version that is being worked on. Each beta release will have a delay of around one month (without any reported problems) before it will be released as a stable/official release -- with the exception of critical bug fixes which may go out at the same time to both the BETA and stable release.
Both the BETA version and the actual released version now have an internet updater built-in. You can let it automatically download and install an update if you have an internet connection. Or you can turn it off, and just click on a button to check whenever you feel like it.
You can have both the BETA version and the official/stable version installed on your system at the same time. They will run independently of each other, updates and installations will be separate as well as any settings (preferences) you have changed.
Suggest New Features/Report a Problem
Please let us know if you run into any problems (even very minor ones). We do welcome suggestions for features to add, we frequently add user requested features into the software. Our list is large, but the more frequently requested items get moved up in priority. So please do let us know if something would be useful or is important to you!
To report a problem, or give us a suggestion, for now please send us an e-mail at support@vehiclecounts.com. When reporting a problem, if you can describe to us your exact steps, or even better yet if you can tell us how we can reproduce the problem (if it's easily repeatable) that would be very helpful. And, if available, please include any data files related to the problem or that may help reproduce the problem.

| [New] | Added a completely customizable automated filename for PRN exports. At the bottom of the PRN filename formats there is now the option "- CUSTOM FILENAME FORMAT -", which will give you a button "Edit Custom Format" to create your own filename format. This can also be setup in preferences to use as a default. |
| [New] | Added new V1.11 RetroCount firmware to upgrade RK-1 units to work better with some serial cables/ports that they were having some trouble with before. |
| [New] | Added Road Tube Simulator 8 to known devices to allow for firmware updates. |
| [New] | Added a "Configure Unit" screen for the Road Tube Simulator to allow a very basic way to modify the patterns and vehicle tables that the simulator uses for it's output. |

| [New] | Multiple export selections (multiple directions and/or data types) can now be exported at one time with PRN exports (they were previously limited to exporting one direction or type of data at a time). |
| [Fix] | Fixed a bug in processing data, specifically during the building of "clusters" of axles, some of the newer speed testing code was inadvertantly not being used. This fix may help improve some data that has excess noise on the hoses, or may improve processing speeds slightly. |
| [Fix] | Fixed the help text on the "Speed Bins" tab in "Preferences" which was previously cut off and added some additional notes to the help text. |

TrafficViewer Pro Beta Downloads
The latest version of TrafficViewer Pro Beta is 1.3.2.83.
The latest installer now includes the option to install sample data files. If you would like to look over the software you can download and run the latest TrafficViewer Pro installer and when given the option during the installation, select to install the sample data files. After open up TrafficViewer Pro after installing it, select "Open File" from within the software and open one of the sample files. Sample reports are also available in PDF format if you do not want to look over the software itself.

TrafficViewer Pro Help
